Sandra Wirth holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen. She has proven experience in evaluation, leadership, strategy, organizational transformation and marketing in the non-profit and private sectors. She recently led the evaluation of the Swiss Space Center for SEFRI and participated in the evaluation of the establishment of a Research Office at the University of Lausanne.
Until 2015, Sandra Wirth was Director of Communications and Fundraising and a member of the Foundation’s management team Terre des hommes – Aide à l’enfance in Lausanne, where she oversaw a revenue budget of 28 million francs and a team of 30 people.
At International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), she worked at headquarters (head of private fundraising and advisor to South Asia operations) and in the field in crisis situations (assessing detention conditions and leading missions in Indian Kashmir, Burundi and Indonesia). She started her career in the private sector in German and French-speaking Switzerland (Nielsen Market Research, Nestlé Nespresso, Vaparoid thermal insulation,STS project management training), as a consultant and then in management.
Sandra Wirth is a member of the Swiss Evaluation Society (SEVAL) and is fluent in French, German, Swiss-German and English.
